Linen lamp, domestic culture

Linen lamp, domestic culture

Italian table culture treats linens as single-purpose sculptures. Families folded napkins and cloths into fans, pleats, pockets, or architectural shapes for formal meals. The table became a stage, and the folded linen a miniature architecture of hospitality.

Our inspiration comes from historical European practices of caring for linen: washing, bleaching in the sun, starching, and pleating, rituals that transformed a fragile textile into a structured, architectural element of the home. By reactivating these pre-industrial methods with natural starches, the linen becomes light.
