Screen divider, Honduras
The screen consists of two wooden panels that can rotate to adapt to sunlight and varying spatial needs. This rotation is enabled by two metal tubes positioned at the top and bottom of the main structure, which securely hold the panels in place while allowing controlled movement. The remaining two panels are crafted from woven material and are fixed directly to the structure, providing visual permeability and textural contrast.
The woven elements are produced in collaboration with a specific Honduran community with deep expertise in this traditional weaving technique, where material knowledge and manual precision have been refined over generations. This collaboration anchors the project in a localized craft practice integrated into a contemporary design context. A first phase of production has been initiated for hotel lobbies.
