Threads of origin
This project is developed through ethnographic fieldwork in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains. It explores natural henna dyeing processes alongside the symbolism of Amazigh ceremonial textiles. The fabric at the core of the project is rooted in Berber culture and shaped by centuries of Amazigh, Arab, and Jewish influences, reflecting a rich and layered cultural heritage. By framing handwoven textiles within industrial stainless steel structures, the project translates ancestral knowledge into a contemporary design language, creating a dialogue between Amazigh tradition and Western industrial practices.
The project has been mentioned in AD Italy and C41 magazine as well as appearing in Living Corriere.
